The METRORail boardings declined -4.02% for January 2011 ove 2010. The decline for the four months of FY2011 is -3.01%, or -102,153. The decline of tram boardings over the past 30 months is -5.93%, or -1,712,353 boardings. That reflects an average monthly downward boarding trend of -57,078 over 2-1/2 years.
As the fixed-route bus and tram boardings continue to trend down, there is no rational argument to support plans to squander additional precious taxpayer resources to extend the Lee. P. Brown legacy boondoggle tram system.
